Located on the ground floor of Western Private Hospital, GenesisCare Footscray provides personalised radiation therapy with strong links to surrounding health services, including Western General Hospital, Sunshine Hospital, Williamstown Hospital, St Vincent’s Private Hospital Werribee, and Mercy Hospital for Women.
Our multidisciplinary team of radiation oncologists, registered nurses, radiation therapists, physicists, and dedicated support staff deliver evidence-based cancer treatment tailored to each patient.

Radiation oncology
Radiation therapy uses high-energy X-rays or other particles to treat cancer and can be used at all stages.

Chemotherapy (at Western Private Hospital)
Chemotherapy uses medication, given orally or by injection, to kill cancer cells or slow their growth. It may be used alongside other cancer treatments.
We are co-located at Western Private Hospital which offers Chemotherapy services.
Allied health services
We collaborate closely with a range of cancer support services including access to a Prostate Cancer Care Nurse for prostate patients. You can speak to your treatment team about the support services available to you.
Free car parking is available for patients receiving treatment at our centre. You will be provided with a permit allowing you to access designated parking spaces behind our building. Alternatively, two-hour ticketed street parking is available on Eleanor and Stanlake Streets.
West Footscray station is a 1km walk along Hocking Street and Eleanor Street. Buses 220, 223 and 410 all intersect Eleanor Street, it is a 500m walk from there. The 82 tram stops at the corner of Ballarat Road and Gordon Street, it is a 1km walk from there.
