Introducing the Gold Coast Breast Cancer Wellness Clinic: Personalised Survivorship Care at GenesisCare
At GenesisCare, we understand that the journey beyond breast cancer treatment can bring unexpected challenges - physically, emotionally, and socially. That’s why we are proud to announce the launch of the first-of-its-kind Breast Cancer Wellness Clinic on the Gold Coast, with locations in Southport and Tugun.

Personalised, Holistic Support
Led by specialist breast care nurse Sigi Arthur, who brings over 20 years of experience and postgraduate qualifications, our clinic is dedicated to supporting patients as they transition from acute treatment to long-term wellbeing. Sigi is passionate about helping patients navigate life after breast cancer:
“I am privileged to offer support to our patients and am focused on their long-term wellbeing and health outcomes, which continues well beyond treatment.”
A Whole-Person Approach to Wellness
Our Breast Cancer Wellness Clinic provides personalised, whole-person care that extends beyond active treatment. As Dr Selena Young, radiation oncologist, explains:
“Our Breast Cancer Wellness Clinic aims to provide personalised whole person care beyond active treatment, supporting them through physical and emotional changes, optimising bone, heart and metabolic health and psychological wellbeing as well as education, confidence and empowerment.”
Integrated, Patient-Centred Care
Dr Maree Kekeff, oncoplastic breast surgeon, highlights the benefits of our integrated model:
“A dedicated breast cancer wellness clinic provides patients with coordinated, patient-centered care that extends beyond surgery and oncology treatment. This model reduces fragmentation and ensures that each patient’s needs are addressed. Access to lymphoedema management, physical therapy, counselling, and lifestyle guidance helps patients regain confidence and improve quality-of-life.”
Empowering Survivors for the Future
Nurse practitioner Natasha Keir, who developed the clinics, emphasises the importance of survivorship:
“Advances in breast cancer treatment options mean that an increasing number of people are living long, meaningful lives beyond their initial diagnosis and treatment. By taking a holistic approach and focusing on long-term wellbeing, healthcare teams can better support women to feel well, confident and supported as they move forward after breast cancer.”
L-R: GenesisCare Queensland General Manager Steve Nguyen, GenesisCare GenesisCare Chief Medical Officer Dr Marie Burke OAM, Mayor of the Bundaberg Region Helen Blackburn.
